Once upon a time, there was a small and shallow water well, and in that well lived a frog. Every day he lived life at his leisure and felt he was truly blessed.

One day a turtle came to his well, the frog happily welcomed and invited him to stay. As they talked the frog prudly said. “I can play the well or I can frolic as I like, when I’m tired I rest in a hole in the wall of the well. Look at the small shrimp and insects to eat, don’t you want to come and see my well?It’s my heaven on earth.

Hearing these stories, the turtle very much wanted to go and see the well. But he was too fat, and couldn’t slip into the hole of the well. With a sigh he told the frof a story about the sea. “The sea, have you ever seen the sea?The sea is a massive expanse of blue. You can swim heading for faraway places and never reach the bottom. The sea has always been this deep and big. Only when you are in the sea can you really feel truly free and happy”. The frpg hearing this was dumbfounded. He was so shocked he could only stare into the distance.

We ought to have a broad and farreaching vision of life, unlike the vision of the frog living in the well, seeing only his little heaven on earth. One must have an open mind, ready to explore beyond his current knowledge, understanding and even his proudly proven skill.

Terjemahan :

      Pada suatu hari, ada sumur yang kecil dan dangkal, dan hiduplah seekor katak. Setiap hari dia hidup santai dan merasa sangat bersyukur dengan hal itu.

Suatu hari kura-kura datang ke dalam sumurnya.  Si katak sangat senang menyambut dan mengundang kura-kura untuk tinggal. mereka berbincang katak pun berkata “saya bisa bermain didalam sumur atau saya bisa menghabiskan waktu sesuka saya, ketika saya lelah saya beristirahat disebuah lubang dinding di sumur melihat ada udang kecil dan serangga yang bisa di makan, bukankah kamu datang dan ingin melihat sumur saya?bagiku itu adalah surga di bumi.”

Mendengar cerita si katak, kura-kura sangat ingin datang dan melihat sumur itu. Tapi ia bertubuh gemuk dan tidak bisa memasukkan tubuhnya ke dalam lubang dari sumur itu. Dengan resah ia bercerita pada si katak tentang laut. “Pernahkah kamu melihat laut?laut secara luas berwarna biru, kamu bisa berenang dengan takjub untuk beberapa tempat dan tidak pernah bisa mencapai dasar laut, kamu bisa berenang kebawah tetapi tidak bisa menjangkau dasar laut. Laut selalu dalam dan luas hanya karena kamu didalam laut kamu  bisa merasa bebas dan senang.” Mendengar hal itu katak tidak bisa berkata apa-apa. Dia tercengang dia hanya bisa menatap ke jalan.

Kita harus memiliki visi kehidupan yang tinggi, jangan seperti visi katak yang hidup didalam sumur, hanya dapat melihat sebagian kecil dunia. Kita harus membuka pikiran, siap untuk menjelajahi selain pengetahuan saat ini. Mengerti dan bahkan dengan bangga membuktikan kemampuan.

Population

      The problem of over population in Indonesia is made worse by the fact that fifty per cent of all Indonesians are below the age of eighteen years. Most of them are dependents. They do not earn money tosupport themselves and are in need of many facilities like food, medical care, clothing, education, and employment opportunities. Although a large number of them are forced to drop out of school to eran a living, the government still has to spend a very large part of its revenueon education. Then comes the problem of creating enough jobs for every new generation of schoolleavers or college graduates.

      Although the problem of overcroweded cities is difficult to solve, there is a solution to the problem of people living in overcrowded ares of the countryside. The solution to the problem of the is internal migration. This means moving poor people from the countryside to different but underdeveloped parts of Indoinesia, where they may work to build a new life themselves. In Indonesia, there are large and active resettlement programmes of this sort which have given a new life to thousands of people.

Masalah kependudukan diIndonesia ini diperburuk oleh fakta bahwa 50% dari warga negara Indonesia berada di bawah 18 tahun. Kebanyakan dari mereka masih dibiayai oleh keluarga. Mereka tidak mendapatkan uang untuk mendukung diri-sendiri dan mereka membutuhkan banyak fasilitas seperti makanan, perawatan medis, pakaian, pendidikan, dan kesempatan untuk bekerja.

Meskipunun mereka terpaksa putus sekolah dan terpaksa mencari nafkah, Pemerintah tetap mengeluarkan pendapatan yang besar untuk pendidikan. Masalah untuk menciptakan pekerjaan yang cukup untuk calon mahasiswa atau lulusan perguruan tinggi.

Meskipun masalah kepadatan kota sulit untuk diatasi, ada solusi untuk masalah dari penduduk yang tinggal didaerah pedesaanyang padat. Solusinya adalah dengan bermigrasi. Ini artinya memindahkan orang tidak mampu dari pedesaan ke wilayah Indonesia yang belum berkembang. Dimana mereka bisa bekerja untuk membangun kehidupan baru diri sendiri. Di Indonesia, ada program transmigrasi yang besar dan aktif yang mana memberikan kehidupan baru untuk ribuan orang.
